Almost every single article about weight loss and getting healthy tells readers to avoid drive through windows like the plague as well as to carry out all of their own cooking. This is actually very true. But occasionally the last thing you would like to do is make a whole dinner for yourself and your family. Sometimes just about all you really want is to go to the drive through and get home quickly. There isn’t any reason that you shouldn’t be authorized to do this and not be suffering from remorse about slipping on your diet. You are capable of doing this because many of the popular joints are now advertising “healthy” menu options to keep their businesses up. Here is how one can find healthy food choices at the drive through.
Milk, juice as well as water will be the best selections for beverages. Drinking a large soft drink forces hundreds of empty calories into your diet. One helping of soda is eight ounces. Those eight ounces are often at least 100 calories and about ten tablespoons of sugar. Most fast food fizzy drinks are at least twenty ounces huge. It is usually a minimum of 30 ounces. This shows that your drink on it’s own will put a multitude of ounces of sugar into your body as well as several thousand empty calories. It is much healthier to choose milk, juice or standard water.
Logic states that that one the simplest way to stay healthy and balanced is to avoid the drive through and never eat fast food. Most of the time this is a good concept but if you make great choices, there’s no reason you can’t visit your drive through now and then. Occasionally, letting someone else cook dinner is just what you require. If you ultimately choose healthy products, the guilt usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.

- Line a baking sheet with foil and place the salmon on the baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and roast for 15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Cool to room temperature.

- Form the salmon mixture into 6 patties and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment. Chill for 15-20 minutes. (Salmon cakes can be frozen at this point. Wrap each cake tightly in plastic wrap and then foil. Unwrap and cook from frozen by following the instructions below.)

- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon cakes and cook over medium heat until golden, approximately 3-4 minutes. (Longer if frozen) Turn the salmon cakes over with a spatula. Cook until golden brown, crispy and cooked through, approximately 3 minutes.
