The ingredients needed to make Amla Chutney (Sweet, Spicy & Tangy):
- Prepare 100 gms Amla
- You need 2 tbsp powdered Jaggery
- Prepare 2 tsp Oil
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- You need 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
- Prepare 1 pinch Asafoetida
- Take 1 pinch Turmeric powder
- Use 1/4 tsp Kashmiri red Chilli powder
- Use Few Curry leaves
- Prepare to taste Salt
Instructions to make Amla Chutney (Sweet, Spicy & Tangy):
- Wash Amla in a strainer. In a pan/utensil, bring 2 cups of water to boil. Put Amlas & switch off the flame and cover for 5 mins. Now Put Amlas in a strainer and when they become cold, slice them using knife and remove the seeds. Grind coarsely.
- Now heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida(hing), curry leaves and let the seeds crackle.
- Then add amla paste, jaggery and salt. Combine well and cook for 2-3 mins till jaggery dissolves completely.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder too and mix well. Cook for 3-4 mins on low flame till everything is combined well to a shiny chutney texture.
- Store in an airtight glass jar for a week.
