- Provide 10 tilapia small fish or any other fish
- Get 5 green chilli
- Use 1 inch piece of ginger
- Use as needed Water

- Use 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

- Provide 1/4 tsp Cumin seeds

Steps to make Udupi Fish Curry:
- Clean and wash the fish and keep aside. Chop the green chillies and ginger. Keep ready all grinding ingredients.
- Take a pan and heat it. Then add all the ingredients listed in for roasting. Saute it till they turn aromatic and set aside.
- In mixer grinder or wet grinder machine add all the ingredients listed in for grinding along with that add roasted ingredients also. With little water blend them in to smooth paste.
- Take a vessel then add ground masala then add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies,salt and water to adjust the consistency of the gravy.
- Turn on the stove and cook it on a medium flame till gravy comes to boil. Once gravy gets boiling add fish in to it. Let it cook for 10 minutes. Once fish is cooked. Turn off the stove.
- Serve the fish curry with hot rice along with some stir fried vegetables.
