The ingredients needed to cook Moru curry:
- Take 1 . Curd - 2 cup
- Prepare 2 . Water - 1 cup
- Get 3 . Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn + 2 pinches
- Prepare 4 . Small onions - 2
- You need 5 . Ginger - small pieces
- Get 6 . Garlic - 1
- Provide 7 . Green chilli - 2
- Provide 8 . Curry leaves
- Use 9 . Coconut oil - 2 tbspn
- Prepare 10 . Salt
- Use 11 . Mustard seeds - 1/2 tspn
- You need 12 . Fenugreek seeds - a pinch
- You need 13 . Dry red chilli - 2
- You need 14 . Chilli powder - 1/4 tspn
Instructions to make Moru curry:
- Whisk curd with 1 cup water to form buttermilk.
- In a large kadai, heat 1 tbspn coconut oil, add small onion, ginger, garlic, 1 greenchilli and curry leaves. Saute for few seconds.
- Add turmeric powder and saute until the raw aroma is gone.
- Add whisked curd (buttermilk) and salt. Stir continuously.
- Stir until the curd is combined well without getting to a boil. (Note : Don't boil just make it hot). Switch off the flame. Keep it aside.
- In a small pan, heat 1 tbspn oil and splutter mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry redchilli, 1 greenchilli, few curry leaves and red chilli powder.
- Pour this into buttermilk and mix well. Close for 5 minutes and serve.
