- Use tur /arhar dal
- Provide salt
- You need turmeric powder

- Prepare tamarind water
- Prepare red chilli powder
- Get Salt
- Prepare oil for frying vegetables

- Take oil
- Use mustard seeds
- Take curry leaves
- Get whole red chillies
Steps to make Sambhar:
- Boil tur dal along with salt and turmeric powder.
- Heat oil in a pan,add onion and fry for 2 minutes.Add all vegetables,saute.
- Add salt and 1/4cup water,cover and cook for 2-3minutes till veggies are soft.
- Add boiled tur dal to veggies,add 3cups water and add red chilli powder and sambhar masala.Let it boil for 10 minutes on low flame.
- Now dal is thick,add tamarind water and adjust sambhar consistency.Put off the flame.
- For tampering,heat oil in a tadka pan,add red chillies and mustard seeds.When splatter,add curry leaves.
- Saute for 10 second and add to sambhar.
- Serve hot.
