  17. Provide 1 tsp cumin seeds
  18. Use 1 pinch asafoetida
  19. Prepare 1 bay leaf
  20. Use 1 small stick cinnamon

  23. Prepare 1 tsp kasuri methi
  24. Get 2 tsp coriander powder
  25. Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
  26. Prepare 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder

  28. Get 2-3 tbsp fresh whisked yoghurt
  29. You need 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

  31. Provide 2 tbsp oil for making curry
  32. Take as required Oil to deep fry the koftas
Instructions to make Cabbage Kofta Curry:
  1. Firstly, mix all the ingredients of making koftas in a mixing bowl.
  2. Make lemon sized balls.
  3. Now heat oil in a wok and deep fry these balls on low medium flame till they are golden brown. Bring them out on a kitchen napkin and keep aside.
  4. Now add tomatoes, ginger and green chilli in a mixer jar. Blend it into a smooth paste. Keep aside.
  5. Heat oil in a wok on low medium flame.
  6. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, asafoetida and kasuri methi. Saute for few seconds.
  7. Now add in the tomato paste and cook till the masala starts leaving oil.
  8. Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and kashmiri red chilli powder. Saute for 1 minute.
  9. Now add in the whisked yoghurt, give it a quick mix.
  10. Add 1 1/2 cups water along with garam masala powder and salt.
  11. Cook the gravy for few minutes and add the fried koftas. Further cook for just one minute and switch off the flame.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with chapatis and rice.
