Almost every single article about losing weight and getting healthy tells readers to avoid drive through windows like the plague and to do all of their own cooking. This is actually very good information. Now and then, though, you definitely do not need to make a full meal for your family or even just for yourself. Once in a while you just want to pay a visit to the drive through while you are on your way home and complete the day. There is zero reason that you simply shouldn’t be able to do this once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This is possible because lots of the popular fast food destinations are trying to make their menus better now. Here is the way to eat healthfully when you hit the drive through.
Aim for the side dishes. It has not been that long ago that all you could get in a fast food diner was French Fries. Now most of the fast food menus have been widened a great deal. Now quite a few of them offer you salads. Chili is yet another option. Baked potatoes can also be bought. You can make fruit. There are countless selections that you can choose that do not force you to consume foods that have been deep fried. When choosing your supper from the drive through, pick out a variety of side items instead of choosing a pre-made “meal deal”. This helps you keep your calorie count low and lessen your fat intake.
Simple logic states that the simplest way to lose fat and get healthy is to ban fast food from your diet entirely. While, for the most part, this is a good strategy, if you make sensible choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. Sometimes the best thing is to let another person make your dinner. There isn’t any reason to feel guilty about going to the drive through when you make healthy decisions!
