- Prepare 2 glass Rice
- You need 1 tsp Avalu/ Mustard seeds
- Provide 1 tsp Jeera/cumin seeds
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Dhaniya seeds/ coriander seeds
- Provide 1/4 tsp Methi seeds/Fenugreek
- Use as needed Miriyalu/ pepper
- Get to taste Green chilli
- Use as needed Tamarind paste
- Get 1 inch Ginger
- Get 2-3 Red chilli
- Take Pinch Ingua/asafoetida
- Take to taste Salt
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- You need as needed Jaggery
- Get as needed Curry leaves
Instructions to make Pulihara:
- Take 2 glasses of rice, add two drops of oil, with 1:2 water. Boil it in pressure cooker until one whistle and then put it on sim for 15 minutes
- Crush mustard seeds, jeera, dhaniya seeds, miriyalu, menthi seeds
- Slit 4 green chillies vertically and stuff tamarind paste into it. Dice ginger.
- Take rice, mix 1/2 spoon turmeric, 1/2 tablespoon oil, 10 grams jaggery.
- Take 4 table spoons oil, heat it in vat, add at 1 minute intervals100 grams ground nuts, the green chillis, ginger, red chillis, 2 stems of curry leaf, the grinded mixture, and asfoetida powder.
- After 2 minutes, mix it with rice. Taste and modify.
