- Take 2 cups thick Poha
- Use 1 cup moong dal
- Get Vegetables

- Provide 1 sprig Few curry leaves
- Provide For seasoning
- You need 3-4 tbsp oil
- Use 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
- Take 2 red chillies
- Get a generous pinch Hing / asafoetida
Steps to make Avalakki/Poha Bisi Bele Bath:
- Pressure cook moong dal along with 2 1/4 cups water,little turmeric powder for 2 to 3 whistles.
- Pressure Cook the vegetables beans,carrot,potato,peas for one whistle and drain it on a strainer.
- Wash Poha and add 2 1/2 cups water and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a thick bottom pan on medium heat. Here I have used cooker.Once oil is hot add mustard seeds.After it splutters add red chilli,curry leaves and hing.Add cooked vegetables.
- Now add tamarind extract from soaked tamarind.Allow it to boil a bit.Now add salt and bisi bele bath powder.This Bisibele bath powder recipe I have already posted in cookpad.
- Now add cooked moong dal to it. After it boils for around 2 minutes add soaked Poha and stir it. Cook it for 4 minutes on medium low flame.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and Ghee. Mix well.
- Avalakki Bisi bele bath is ready to eat.Serve it with cucumber raita.
