- Take For the pakwaan (puri)
- Provide 1 cup wheat flour
- Provide 1/2 cup maida/All purpose flour
- You need 2 tbsp rawa/sooji
- Prepare 1 tsp ajwain/carom seeds
- Use 1 tsp crushed black pepper
- Use 1 tsp salt
- Take 2 tsp hot oil

- Prepare 2 onions chopped
- Provide 2-3 tsp coriander chutney
- Provide 2-3 tsp sweet and sour chutney

Steps to make Dal pakwaan:
- Soak chana dal for 2 hrs. Then pressure cooker the dal for 5 whistles. Meanwhile take wheat flour, maida and rawa, add salt, hot oil and knead a semi soft dough. Keep it aside.
- Now open the cooker lid, heat oil, add jeera, green chillies, curry leaves, chopped ginger, hing. Mix well. Now add all spices, aamchur powder, salt and boiled chana dal. Add little water. Cover and cook till all masalas blend well. Switch off the gas. Keep it aside.
- Now take the dough, make medium size balls. Roll it, prick it with a fork so that it should not rise. Heat oil and deep fry all puris till crispy and golden brown. Now when all puris are ready,
- In a serving plate keep all the puris on to the plate and in a bowl, take the dal, then garnish it with chopped onions, coriander chutney, sweet and sour chutney and finally with coriander leaves.
