- Provide 5 garlic cloves. sliced
- Provide 1 bunch curry leaves
Instructions to make Dal tadka. Bachelor style:
- Put dal and warter into cooker. Add chopped onion. Green Mirchi. Chilli powder salt. Mashed garlic cloves with jera. A pich of turmaric powder/haldi/pasupu. A two table spoon oil.
- Close cooker and cook it for 3 vistles.
- Mash it to paste using round headed spoon. Or masher.
- Tadka. Take one more vesel. Lit stove. Put on it. And add oil. Once oil heated. Add jera, sarasau/avalu, red chillies,cloves. Once they turn into brown. Add turmeric powder and curry leaves. Put off the flame. Make sure to not to over burn. Better to add all these ingredients after you put off flame when oil heat to boiling.
- Add this tadka to dall. Vice versa. And mix. Dal is ready to eat with chapati. Rice.
