The ingredients needed to make Handvo:
- You need 1 cup Rice
- Prepare 1/2 cup Chana Dal (Split chickpeas)
- Get 1/2 cup Tuvar dal ( plit pigeon peas)
- Take 1/2 cup Urad dal ( Black gram )
- Prepare 2 cup Curd
- Prepare 4-6 Green Chillies
- Take 2" Ginger
- Use 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Get 2 cup Bottle Gourd
- Use to taste Salt
- Provide 1 teaspoon Red chilii powder
- You need 1 tsp Sugar
- Prepare 2 tablespoons Green Coriander
- Provide For tempering
- Provide 3-4 tablespoon Oil
- Take 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- Use 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- Use 6-8 teaspoon Sesame
- Take 2-4 pinch Asafetida
- Take 10-12 Curry Leaves
Instructions to make Handvo:
- Wash and soak rice and lentils in water for 5-6 hours - Remove excess water.., Grind rice pl. don't make smooth batter…… mix with curd add salt keep thick batter - cover the bowl and keep it in a hot place for 6–8 hours
- Batter is ready…..now u cam make Handvo - add grated Bottle Gourd -,Ginger chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,sugar…and little salt..if need… - mix all well.
- Heat a big pan….spread 2–3 spoons oil on it..spread nicely on sides also with hand… - same time……. - on other Gas..Heat a small pan
- ..pour the batter in it…….
- Add oil… - mustard seed,Cumin seeds,Sesame seeds.asafoetida,Curry Leaves….. - pamper is ready spread it on the Handvo batter - if u love u can add more Sesame seeds… - now cover it for 10..15 minutes
- Now check…….1 side is ready now change the side keep 10 minutes so u can cook both the side……
- Now check. with knife if it's ready knife will come out clean - It's ready to serve..
