- Prepare 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- You need FOR THE SPLIT GRAM COCONUT CHUTNEY -
- Get 1/2 cup Split Bengal Gram or Putana Dal
- You need 2-3 tbsp Coconut powder dry one
- Use 1/2 tsp Salt
- Provide FOR THE TEMPERING -
- Prepare 2 Sprigs Curry Leaves
- You need 2 Green Chillies
- Prepare 3-4 Dry Red Chillies
- Provide 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- Take 1 1/2 tbsp Oil

- Prepare a slightly thinner batter than the regular dosa batter. Mix well and start making right away or wait for 10 minutes before proceeding. Always cook Dosas on a low to medium high heat.
- Don't try to spread much, just pour like we do for rava dosa. Cover it up after drizzling oil onto the dosa and all around the edges.
- Once done flip it to the other side. Make all in a similar fashion. It takes 3 minutes each for every dosa you make. But trust me, it's worth the efforts. Serve them hot with any chutney of your choice.
- I served them with Split Gram and Coconut Chutney. Roast the dal and the coconut on a low flame along with the grated Ginger. Add the Green Chillies and grind to a paste using little water. You can adjust the water quantity accordingly. I added 3 to 4 tablespoons of water.
- Adjust Salt and add the tempering to it. That's it. Enjoy this tempting Chutney with Dosas or Idlis.
