Pressure cook dal and rice together in different cooker dabba.First for rice wash and add water and salt by adding ghee to it.Next in another dabba wash dal and add water, turmeric, chopped tomato and salt and pressure cook for 6 to 7 whistles and when it is done let the cooker release the pressure and then open and take dal and smash it if you required more water add to it.

Make tempering by adding chopped garlic, oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds when they start spluttering add hing, curry leaves and red chilli powder it gives amazing aroma and taste when you put red chilli powder in tempering. Shot dal rice with papad, chaas and raw mango achar or simple raw mango I use by adding turmeric,salt and crushed cumin seeds and coriander leaves crushed it taste awesome.
