  1. Wash and soak whole tuvar in warm water for 8-10 hours. Then cook in pressure cooker with salt and enough water until 5-6 whistles or cooked nicely.
  2. Grind onions and make paste. Grind tomatoes and prepare puree.
  3. In a pan heat oil. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and carrom seeds. When crackles add ginger paste and garlic paste. Saute for sometimes. Add onion paste and saute till oil seperates. Add tomato puree and saute till oil seperates. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhania jeera powder and garam masala powder. Mix well.
  4. Now add cooked whole tuvar with water. Mix well. Adjust salt. Cover with lid and cook for 4-5 minutes. Whole tuvar curry is ready to serve. Serve with Paratha and buttermilk.
