- Get As needed Idli batter made of rice and udad dhuli daal
- Get 2 medium boiled potato
- You need 4 (5 cubes) paneer (optional)
- Use 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Take 3-4 curry leaves
- Take Pinch Turmeric powder
- Take to taste Salt
- Provide 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Chat masala
- Prepare Pinch Ajwain optional
Steps to make Stuffed Idli:
- Make a well batter of idli and add 1tsp salt and 1 tsp of ajwain (optional) I use for taste. keep it aside.
- Heat oil in pan and add rai and curry patta. Add turmeric powder.
- Mash the boiled potatoes and mix it well. U can add paneer here if u like.
- Add all spices and give a good stir
- Let the mixture be cool completely.
- Start making thin small size tikki out of the mixture now.
- Put a half spoon of idli batter in mould, place the tikki and cover with another half spoon of batter. The batter quantity can be adjusted as per the mould size.
- In this way fill all the moulds and keep it on gas via placing the stand in cooker or it's own big pan.
- After 10mints, de mould the idli and cut into 2 halves and serve hot with coconut chutney
