The ingredients needed to cook Sooji idli | Rava idli:
- You need 300 gms Sooji/Rava
- Provide 1/2 litre Curd
- Provide 100 gms Roasted Vermicelli
- Provide As needed Salt
- Take handful Few Curry leaves
- Use Handful Few Coriander leaves
- Use For tempering:
- Prepare 1 tbsp Ghee
- Take 1 tbsp Chana dal
- Take 10 Cashews
- You need 4 Green chillies
Steps to make Sooji idli | Rava idli:
- Take curd and churn it with a churner. Then add roasted vermicelli to it.
- Add sooji/rava to it and mix well.
- Now temper the ingredients until it becomes golden brown.
- Add the tempered ingredients to the batter.
- Add the leaves and salt as needed.Mix well.
- Make the batter to this consistency. Batter should not be liquid consistency.
- Now let's start making idli. Add grated carrots and keep it in the idli mold.
- Pour the batter in the idli mold.
- Steam it for 15 to 20 minutes. Sooji/rava idli is ready.
