- Heat a pan on low flame and add 1tbsp of coconut oil. Add 1/2 tsp of urad dal & 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds and allow it to splutter. Then add the curry leaves and finely chopped onions. Saute well. When there is a slight change in colour to light brown, add half the portion of grated coconut and saute again.
- Add the coarsly powdered idli along with 3/4th tbsp sugar and salt as per taste. Mix well. Finally add the remaining portion of grated coconut and give a thorough mix and switch of the flame. Serve it hot for breakfast.
