Just about every single article you read about improving your health or losing weight is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. This is really good guidance. From time to time, though, you definitely do not need to make a full meal for your family or even just for yourself. Sometimes just about all you desperately want is to go to the drive through and get home quickly. Why shouldn’t you have the ability to do this every now and then and not have a bunch of guilt about slipping up on your diet? You are capable of doing this because many of the popular joints are now promoting “healthy” menu selections to keep their businesses up. Here is how to eat healthfully when you reach the drive through.
Choose the drive through according to whether or not it has more healthy options available. Arby’s for example, isn’t going to offer burgers. Instead, your options include things like roast beef and chicken sandwiches, wraps and big salads. Wendy’s, not surprisingly, is known for its square burgers, even so the menu there has a bundle of healthful choices like salad, potatoes and chili. Not all fast food places are as unhealthy as McDonalds with its deep fried everything.
Basic sense states that the best way to lose fat and get healthy is to ban fast food from your diet completely. Most of the time this is a good idea but if you make great choices, there’s no reason you can’t visit your drive through from time to time. Often what you need most is just to have somebody else do the cooking. There isn’t any reason to feel terrible about going to the drive through when you make healthy decisions!
