- In a container add wash rice and toor dal together.Add 4 to 5 cups water, little turmeric powder and pressure cook for about 4 whistles.

- Here I have used pressure cooker for preparing Bisi bele bath.If you have thick bottom pan then you can use it.Pour oil and add mustard seeds,methi seeds,little hing and few curry leaves.You can add little peanuts if you like.This is optional.
- Now add cooked vegetables to it.Add the tamarind extract from the soaked tamarind to the above vegetables.Allow it to boil.
- Now add salt and bisibele bath powder to it and mix well.
- Now add cooked and little smashed rice and toor dal mixture.The flame should be low for all the above process.Mix well.If you feel it is thick then add little water to maintain the consistency.
- Note dont add more water.It should be of Sambhar rice consistency.
