- Take a kadai/pan,add oil,once heated add mustard seeds,let it crackle,then add groundnuts and cashewnuts,fry till brown and then add red chillies and curry leaves.Cook till curry leaves become crispy.
- After that add tamarind extract along with turmeric powder,red chilli powder,asfoetida and salt.It will take 15 minutes for tamarind to cook on a low flame.
- The tamarind will get reduced and the raw smell of the tamarind will go and oil will start coming out.Cool the extract and add cooked rice and mix uniformly with rice.Tamarind rice is ready.
