Before you jump to Simple Potato Curry recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about Choosing Fast Food That’s Fine For You.
Just about any article you read about bettering your health or losing weight is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. There’s some worth to that. But at times the last thing you wish to do is prepare a whole supper for yourself and your family. Once in a while you need to pay a visit to the drive through when you are on your way home and end the day. There is no reason that you simply shouldn’t be able to make it happen once in a while and be free of the guilt usually associated with “diet slips”. This may be possible because plenty of the popular fast food destinations are attempting to make their menus better now. Here is how to eat healthy when you reach the drive through.
Your drink should be water or juice or milk. Choosing a large soda as your beverage adds hundreds of unhealthy calories to your meal. A single serving of soda is commonly thought to be eight ounces. Those eight ounces tend to be at least 100 calories and about ten tablespoons of sugar. A fast food soft drink is frequently not less than twenty ounces. It is most often a minimum of 30 ounces. Choosing a soft drink as your beverage increases your calorie ingestion by thousands and adds way too much sugar to your diet. It is much healthier to choose milk, juice or perhaps regular water.
Logic claims that one of the best ways to stay balanced is to sidestep the drive through and never eat fast food. While, in most cases, this is a good plan, if you make sensible choices, there is no reason to feel guilty for visiting a drive through one or two times a month. At times what you need most is just to have someone else do the cooking. If you decide on healthy items, the shame usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.

Steps to make Simple Potato Curry:
- Heat oil in a wok
- Add the asafoetida, chopped onion, Bay leaf, green chilli and ginger garlic paste(if using freshly chopped ginger-garlic the flavours are better)

- Toss well and take off heat now and transfer the curry to a bowl(I like my potato curry to be cooked but not very soft and mushy, however you may choose to cook it a little more)
- Serve potato curry with flat breads(rotis/naan/Parathas, etc) or with rice and daal
- Enjoy!
- Tip: asafoetida kind of combines or brings together all the flavours in addition to the health benefits. You may choose not to use it if it’s not handy in your kitchen
