Just about every article you read about bettering your health or weight loss is going to tell you to ignore the drive through and cook all of your meals instead. This is actually very true. From time to time, though, the last thing you choose is to have to make an evening meal from scratch. Sometimes just about all you really want is to go to the drive through and get home as soon as possible. There isn’t any reason that you shouldn’t be authorized to do this and not be plagued by guilt about slipping on your diet. This is because most popular fast food restaurants out there are trying to “healthy up” their choices. Here is how to eat healthfully when you hit the drive through.
Select water, juice or milk as a beverage. When you drink a large soft drink you are introducing too much empty calories to your day. A single helping of soda is typically thought to be eight ounces. That portion normally includes at least a hundred calories and more than a few tablespoons of sugar. Most fast food soft drinks are no less than twenty ounces big. It is usually a minimum of 30 ounces. This means that your drink on it’s own will put a large number of ounces of sugar into your body as well as several thousand empty calories. Water, fruit juice and also milk, on the other hand, are far better choices.
Logic claims that one of the best ways to stay healthy and balanced is to sidestep the drive through and never eat fast food. Most of the time this is a good concept but if you make good choices, there is no reason you can’t visit your drive through once in a while. Sometimes the thing you need most is just to have someone else do the cooking. If you ultimately choose healthy items, the shame usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.
