Almost every “get healthy” and “weight loss” article you study will tell you to skip the drive through and make all of your meals yourself. This is actually good information. But at times the last thing you want to do is prepare a whole dinner for yourself and your family. Sometimes you just want to go to the drive through along the way home and call it a day. Why shouldn’t you be able to do this every so often and not have a bunch of guilt about slipping up on your diet? You can do this because lots of the popular joints are now marketing “healthy” menu alternatives to keep their businesses up. Here is how you can eat healthfully when you reach the drive through.
Aim toward the side dishes. It has not been that long ago that all you could get at the fast food diner was French Fries. Now lots of the fast food menus have been widened a great deal. Now lots of them provide salads. You can also select Chili. You can get baked potatoes. You can choose fruit. There are so many options that you can choose that do not force you to eat foods that have been deep fried. When selecting your meal from the drive through, pick out a variety of side items instead of choosing a pre-made “meal deal”. You’ll keep your calorie and fatty food count lower and escape dedication.
Standard logic tells us that one sure way to get healthy and lose fat is to drop the drive through and to banish fast food restaurants from your thoughts. Most of the time this is a good concept but if you make beneficial choices, there’s no reason you can’t visit your drive through once in a while. Every now and then, letting someone else cook dinner is just what you need. If you ultimately choose healthy products, the shame usually associated with hitting the drive through shouldn’t be so bad.
