The ingredients needed to prepare Idiyappam & peas curry:
  1. Get 1 & 1/2 cup water
  2. Take 1/4 tsp oil
  3. You need 1 cup rice flour
  4. Take 1 cup peas
  5. Take 1 potato
  6. Use 1 onion
  7. Provide 1 tomato
  8. Provide 1 piece ginger
  9. Get 2 slice garlic

  11. You need 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  12. Take 1 tsp coriander powder

Steps to make Idiyappam & peas curry:
  1. 1.Boil 1 and 1/2 cup of water with 1/4 tsp oil in a vessel.Switch off the flame as soon as u see one big bubble in the bottom of the vessel. Never allow to boil completely.
  2. In a bowl,mix 1 cup of rice flour/ idiyappam flour and salt.
  3. Pour the boiled water to the flour and stir till it makes smooth dough.
  4. Then make this dough into big balls and sneeze it through an idiyappam presser.Squeeze it onto the idiyappam stand and steam it.
  5. After 5 minutes open it and serve it hot with vegetable stew / kadala curry / peas curry.
  6. Pressure cook soaked peas for 1 to 2whistle.
  7. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  8. Add jeera seeds, chopped onion, green chilli, chopped ginger & garlic. Saute it.
  9. Add the spices- turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt.
  10. Add chopped tomato and immediately add cooked peas and potato
  11. Cook the gravy in medium flame till the potato cooked.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves.
