  1. Get 1 cup rice
  2. Take 1/2 cup chana dal
  3. Use 1/4 cup toor dal
  4. Take 2 tbsp urad dal
  5. You need 1/2 cup Curd
  6. Prepare 1 cup bottle gourd / lauki, grated
  7. You need 3 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  8. Prepare 1/2 tsp ginger paste 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  9. You need 1/2 tsp sugar
  10. You need 1/4 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  11. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi
  12. Use 2 tsp oil ¾ tsp salt 1 tsp eno / fruit salt
  13. Provide For TEMPERING:
  14. Take 3 tsp oil
  15. Provide 1/2 tsp cumin / jeera
  16. You need 3/4 tsp mustard seeds
  17. Use 1 tsp sesame / til few curry leaves pinch hing / asafoetida
Instructions to make Handvo:
  1. Firstly, soak 1 cup rice, ½ cup chana dal, ¼ cup toor dal, 2 tbsp urad dal for 3-4 hours.
  2. Add ½ cup curd and blend to a smooth but slightly coarse paste.
  3. Further add 1 cup grated bottle gourd, and 3 tbsp coriander.
  4. Also add ½ tsp ginger paste, 1 green chilli, ½ tsp sugar, ¼ tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 2 tsp oil and ¾ tsp salt.
  5. Now add 1 tsp eno / fruit salt and mix gently.
  6. Add tempering :oil, sesame seeds, crushed peanuts, mustard seeds, hing
  7. Cook handvo in tawa like pudala
  8. Ready for serve.
