  2. Provide 3 chopped onions

  4. Get 1 cup coconut milk

  7. Use 2 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Use 2 tsp coriander powder
  9. Use 1 tsp garam masala / whole spice powder
  10. Get 10 curry leaves
  11. You need 2 tsp ginger paste
  12. Prepare 2 tsp garlic paste
  13. Take 1 Cinnamon
  14. Use 4 cardamoms
  15. Take 3 cloves
  16. Get 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  17. Take 6-8 tsp oil (coconut oil optional)
  18. Use 2 tsp lime juice
  19. You need 1/2 cup water
Steps to make Malabar Chicken Curry:
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with lime juice, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and set aside 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat.. Add mustard seeds, cloves, cardamoms, Cinnamon and curry leaves saute them for few minutes.
  3. Add chopped onions and fry until golden brown.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and saute for few minutes.
  5. When the colour changes, add ginger and garlic paste and saute again until aromat.
  6. Then add marinated chicken and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water for it to cook, and cover it for 10 - 15 minutes.
  7. After 15 minutes open the lid and add 1 cup thick coconut milk. Mix it well and cook for few minutes.
  8. After few minutes add garam masala powder and mix well.
  9. Cook for 3 -4 minutes and turn off the stove.
  10. Ready to serve Malabar Chicken Curry.
